NOTICE OF LEGAL LIABILITIES

Fairfield Family Care, LLC (“FFC”) operates as registry as permitted by the laws of Connecticut. As a registry, FFC does not employ the caregivers that are referred to Clients for consideration. Each Caregiver is an independent contractor, who is not an employee of FFC. The Caregiver is hired directly by the Client. Clients who contract with a caregiver referred by FFC may be considered an employer under the law. If that is he case, the client may be held responsible for the payment of federal and state taxes, social security, overtime and minimum wage, unemployment, workers’ compensation insurance payments and any other applicable payment required under state or federal law. Clients should consult with tax professional or a legal advisor if they are uncertain about their responsibility for the payment of such taxes or other payments.
